A new critter is ready to inhabit the Grummelverse. He is soft and sqooshy, and perfectly camouflaged- when he lies flat on the ground he seems like a little tuft of grass and flowers. Those and his bright red nose attract many insects which he then devours by shooting out along sticky tongue. Cute but deadly...here we go:

... in the theatre ;) Finally I feel happy enough with my latest shot that I dare uploading it here. I still see things that I would want to tweak and polish, but for now it's time to move on and start working on a new scene. I tried hard to change the appearance of the famous Bishop rig so it looks more unique, but from now on this will be far more easy. Animation Mentor has released a new, fully-customizable rig!!! I'm so excited and can't wait to start testing it :) To round off this post I also want to show a few of my latest sketches and designs :) Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and opinions!

Thanks to the great suggestion of Leon on my previous post, I did a version of my pirate using varied line weight and I think it really makes a huge difference. I wanted to share this with you and also thank Leon for his feedback :) I'm going to post my last AM assignment soon as well as some of my life drawings, but right now I don't have enough time to scan them in- 2 days to go, then there's an AM free weekend waiting for me. I have some sleep to catch up on so I guess that's what this weekend will be used for :)

Hi everybody,
here are the drawings I did during the last week. Again some life drawings where we focused on very quick poses this week (about 3 to 5 minutes) and also a few character designs I did. ....stays in Vegas! That's how the saying goes, so I can't really tell you anything about my trip there, can I?!? ;) Just as much: I went there on a business trip and it was huge, amazing and crazy- an exaggeration of real life in which it is somehow related to animation. I spent 6 days there and now I'm a bit tired due to jetlag and a flue I caught (most probably from one of the uncountable air conditioning systems). That's also why I've been so quiet lately, but now I'm back again and with me some more sketches and my final version of the parkour animation.
I also did the blocking for my new assignment, but as I only had one day I could spend on it, I want to refine it a bit more before showing it here ;)
